Viskase in Clark


American meat product packaging firm Viskase Asia Pacific Corp. is investing up to US$14 million for a production facility at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.  Clark Development Corp., administrator of the Freeport, said it has signed a lease agreement with Viskase, which plans to build a factory that will manufacture various packaging materials for meat products on a 39,600-square metre area.

“Viskase would initially invest some US$12 million to US$14 million with an expected employment of 100 to 150 workers once fully operational. Its projected export is some US$40 million during its three years of operations,” the company said.
